The existence of massive neutrinos requires physics beyond the Standard Model. Majorana neutrinos together with the see-saw mechanism provide a compelling framework for understanding the smallness of their masses. Their presence is sought for ever since Majorana’s work, in nuclear processes, rare decays and collider experiments. We will discuss the present theoretical and experimental status of the minimal Left-Right symmetric model that gave rise to the see-saw mechanism. In particular, we will focus on the recently proposed search for heavy neutrinos in rare Higgs decays, which offers an alternative search for lepton number violation and features displaced vertices at the LHC.
