High intensity, high precision electron beams, and dark matter and dark force searches at Jefferson Lab

The high luminosity (O(1 ab -1 /day)) presently available at electron accelerators, such as CEBAF and FEL at Jefferson Lam (USA), MAMI at Mainz (Germany),  and their beam characteristics make them well suited for searches Light Dark Matter particles
and the hidden sector photons (A' as often they are called). This potential is just beginning to be exploited. The beam parameters of the fixed-target machines are well suited for exploring regions of coupling strengths of hidden sector photons as low as  α' / α10-11, with a mass
coverage for LDM and A' 1 < mA < 1000 MeV.

In this talk we will present characteristics of CEBAF and FEL machines at Jefferson Lab, and  the parameters of existing and future experimental facilities. We will also discuss ongoing and future experiments for A' and LDM searches.
