International School of Biophysics 2023 in Erice: Registrations Open for a High-level Course on the Future of Biophysics

The Italian Society of Pure and Applied Biophysics (SIBPA) is organizing the "International School of Biophysics - Antonio Borsellino", which will take place in Erice from October 16th to 22nd, 2023. The course, entitled "Memos for biophysics into the future: Lightness, quickness, exactitude, visibility, multiplicity, and consistency,” will also celebrate Calvino's centennial.

The course program will be directed by Alberto Diaspro, Cristiano Viappiani, and Mauro Dalla Serra, and will feature renowned faculty members, including Martin Chalfie, Carlos Bustamante, Alessio Accardi, and other prominent experts in the field of biophysics.

Registrations are now open, and SIBPA members can avail of a reduced fee to participate in the event. However, there are limited seats available, with only 50 participants being accommodated. Those who wish to submit an abstract for Flash talks and poster sessions are encouraged to do so.

The registration fee will cover full lodging, meals, social events, and scientific material. The course will be held in person, allowing participants to interact directly with the faculty and fellow attendees.

SIBPA will also offer travel support to registered SIBPA members on a competitive basis, with further details to be announced soon on the official SIBPA webpage.
