International Day of Women and Girls in Science

11 February is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Although there are encouraging signs of progress, women are still underrepresented at all levels in science, technology, engineering and physics around the world. However, gender equality is not just a matter of fairness: when bright girls stray from scientific careers because of obstacles that are too great, it is a loss for society as a whole.

The Department of Physics, together with the UniGe Committee for Equal Opportunities (CPO), is promoting the Conference "Gender Asymmetry in the Academy" that will take place on 17 June 2022.

We will keep you informed about the programme of the event through these pages and the social pages of Unige, follow us!
