Nanoscale Biophyiscs/Nanoscopy

Research activities are related with the design, development and application of scarsely pertubative physical methods to study living systems and deciphering their mutual interactions at the nanoscale considering both spatial and temporal domain. More specifically, the research focus is on super resolved optical microscopy methods – optical nanoscopy – for addressing structure, function and dynamics of biological macromolecules from the single molecule level to cells, organs and tissues. Multimodal and correlative approaches are part of the development including electrical-fluorescence measurements and optical nanoscopy – atomic force microscopy correlative nanoscopy.Main applications target are molecular oncology and neurodegenerative diseases.
